And this movie was so much better than anything with the WWE logo in front of it had any right to be. Quite happy I saw it.Tim Lehnererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02410878013331168436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-715711610648154390.post-84173802216533249302015-10-22T11:51:50.263-04:002015-10-22T11:51:50.263-04:00Clearly, taking off and nuking it from orbit was t...Clearly, taking off and nuking it from orbit was the only way to be sure.

The problem I had with Oculus is that the mirror turned out to be so powerful that the characters never had a chance. I personally prefer stories where the evil has a weakness, even if the characters fail to exploit it (or misunderstand what it is, ala The Ring.)Doug Hudsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05651720537097952075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-715711610648154390.post-78548650062606833942015-10-21T13:25:39.824-04:002015-10-21T13:25:39.824-04:00Yeah, it was hubris and overconfidence that got he...Yeah, it was hubris and overconfidence that got her killed more than anything. But I believe that if the kitchen timer was disconnected the device would swing down and (try to) break the mirror.

I'm sure if Kaylie was willing to be satisfied with revenge things would have gone better for her but she wanted justice. And she perhaps put too much faith in the mirror's self-preservation instinct.Tim Lehnererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02410878013331168436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-715711610648154390.post-89236548206876584722015-10-20T14:28:27.892-04:002015-10-20T14:28:27.892-04:00While I really did enjoy Oculus, it bothers me tha...While I really did enjoy Oculus, it bothers me that it hinges on Kaylie's confident belief that a magic mirror with the power to make you hallucinate and kill people and commit suicide for some reason can't make you disconnect a kitchen timer. It undercuts the whole thing.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09334013610288458384noreply@blogger.com
